Visiting with family this week so the tutorial posts are delayed but here is a quick pic of the outside of A’s house.

The window planters that come with the kit were solid so I made some hollow ones out of Cricut chipboard. I don’t have enough flowers to fill them, but it’s a start. The glue is still drying, hence the masking tape.
The shingles came with the kit; I painted them black and then dry-brushed on white for more of a slate look.
My friend M. used to have a purple door on her house, which I loved. I started with a green door but it didn’t ‘pop’ enough against the black trim.
As proof that I don’t live in a place with ‘weather,’ I messed up and didn’t put the shutters right next to the windows. We obvs don’t have shutters at our house.
Bonus points to anyone who can spot the Saint Bernard!
