Tools of the Trade: Scale Fabrics from Spoonflower

We can always find so many fabrics that work in miniature at local fabric shops, particularly solids or small calico prints. But what about when you want a pattern that isn’t available in 1:12 scale?

My recommendation is Spoonflower (link)!

You can support independent artists or upload your own patterns. You have a TON of fabric options for every single print. You can order a fat quarter or simply an 8 by 8 inch swatch, which will be plenty for many miniature projects like pillows, towels, placemats, or clothing.

When I did a search for 1:12 scale, more than 800 options popped up in fabric. And it was the same for wallpaper (although I haven’t tried those yet, so no recommendation).
