Fixer Upper Dollhouse Part 5: Back Inside Luna’s House

Visit the other installments in this series here: part 1, part 2, part 3, and part 4.

After making a lot of progress on the outside of Luna’s house, it was back to the inside. I stained preassembled stairs (link) with a medium oak to go with the traditional vibe of the house.

I finished wallpapering the kitchen, living room, and upstairs library. I added white baseboards from Hobby Lobby that came prepainted (link).

I 3D printed some interior window frames and then added 1/4″ strips of basswood for additional trim. I also inserted plastic acetate sheets for the window panes.

I had so much fun filling the upstairs library room. I 3D printed the bookshelves from this purchased etsy file: link. I changed the height so that the bookshelves would take up even more wall space in this high-ceilinged room.

Most of the books on the shelves are imperfects from the books we make at our etsy shop (available for purchase here). I also wanted to include some with words and pictures on the covers, so I bought this STL file from The Square to Spare’s etsy shop: link.

I also finished the rest of the coffee-stirrer flooring for the house, which I started in part 2 of this series.

Although I focused on the inside of the house, I also made more flowers for the window boxes. I’m still not sure what color to paint the front door. I normally like a pop of color (see the purple door at A’s house here) but I think a dark brown or green would be best here.

The house has come such a long way from these before pictures.

Onward–having a great time furnishing the vintage kitchen now.
