To create an authentic ski cabin look inside the A-frame cabin, I wanted the walls for the loft to be pine. I started by cutting strips of basswood (link) on my miniature table saw (link). The saw is so easy to use for dollhouse projects.

I sanded the rough edges and stained the planks with pine wood stain (link). When the resulting color was too light for me, I asked Grok and ChatGPT to suggest paint colors to mix with gel medium to get a darker shade. Both AI platforms suggested a combination of burnt umber and raw sienna. The darker hue added a lot of character!

I attached the planks to the walls with the same non-water-based adhesive (link) that I use for dollhouse shingles so that the wood would not warp.

For the downstairs of the A-frame, I wanted a green buffalo plaid. Canva helped me generate a pretty pattern. I printed it on cardstock, and voila, wallpaper!

This cabin feels so homey already!
